From pumping drinking water and steam, to processing foodstuffs, our range of stainless steel pipe and tube have endless applications.
Versatile and reliable, stainless steel pipe is the go-to choice for various liquid and gas transportation applications. Their exceptional durability ensures long-lasting performance in harsh environments, including those with high corrosion or extreme temperature changes. Minimal maintenance requirements make them an ideal choice for demanding installations.
Flocon stocks a vast range of stainless steel pipe to suit almost every industry type.
Our range of food processing pipes (also known as “dairy pipe” or “hygienic pipe”), are available in 316L grade, polish finished in sizes ½” – 4”. In larger diameters, we have both metric (Tru-Bore) 304L or 316L pipe in sizes 28mm to 304mm.
Also available, are nominal bore SCH40 A312 316L welded pipes in sizes ½” to 4”. Suitable for threading, this range accompanies our stainless steel fittings perfectly.
Larger diameters and different Schedules (such as SCH10, SCH80, SCH16, XS, XXS) both in grade 304 & 316 in seamless or welded pipe are also stocked.
Flocon can also provide stainless steel tubes in a variety of sizes, or our cutting service can cut to your exact specifications.

FAQs for Stainless Steel Pipe and Tube
Stainless steel pipe comes in two grades 304 and 316 and is priced per meter, per 3 meters or per 6 meters as indicated above. Both 304 and 316 Stainless Steel are very similar.
Most stainless steel is Grade 304. 304 Stainless Steel is the standard in strength, easy maintenance and corrosion resistance.
The non-corrosive properties of Stainless Steel provide excellent protection against moisture and rust making the hygienic pipe ideal for use indoors and outdoors. Typically, stainless steel pipes will have a longer lifespan than other types of piping.
Stainless steel with a number followed by an L indicates it has a lower level of carbon content. This is important to distinguish because the level of carbon in the steels affects its overall corrosion resistance.
An easy way to remember what the L stands for is, L for low.
304 and 316 Steel has a maximum carbon content of 0.07% whereas 304L and 316L has a maximum carbon content of 0.03%.
Stainless Steel schedule pipe is non-hygenic and has a rough outside surface.
Schedule (Sch) is used to define the thickness and pressure rating of the pipe or tube. The higher the schedule number, the thicker the pipe and the more pressure it can handle.
The outside diameter doesn’t change, only the internal wall thickness.
