Protecta-line Compression Stop Cock
Protecta-line is the original barrier pipe and fitting system – trusted by many house builders, contractors and water authorities in the UK – to transport drinking water safely through contaminated land. BS 8588:2017 approved, the barrier pipe has a multi-layer construction that prevents contaminants from permeating into the water supply.
Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) approved product. Manufactured from metal and polyethylene plastic (PE), the Protecta-line Stop Cock is to BS 5433 standard.
All Protecta-Line pipes and fittings are approved to BS 8588. Incorporating an impermeable aluminium barrier layer wrapped onto a central core of PE80 or Excel (PE100) pipe. This prevents the ingress that could potentially be caused by through wall permeation of hydrocarbons, and related chemicals, that could be present in contaminated land. Offering proven protection against all recognised brownfield contaminants, organic and inorganic, even at maximum reported concentrations.
Suitable for use in industrial applications, irrigation and drainage equipment, for use with Protecta-line barrier pipe MDPE PE80 SDR11 coils.

Caveat:
Only use Protecta-Line fittings with Protecta-Line pipe. The use of alternative fittings will invalidate WRAS approval and the Protecta-Line's system performance warranty. Compromised permeation resistance (causing non-compliance with WIS 4-32-19 and possible risks to health). Danger of pipe-layer delamination, compromising system performance integrity and risking pipe bursts.
